7th ANNUAL BIRKDALE ART IN THE PARK FESTIVAL

ON JUNE 23, 2018

 

TORONTO, March 20, 2018 - Birkdale Art In the Park is pleased to announce their 7th Annual Art Show and Sale on held June 23, 2018 (rain or shine). This community outdoor event takes place in the Birkdale Ravine surrounding the Birkdale Community Center located at 1299 Ellesmere Road in Scarborough.

 

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, local artists, and artisans display a diverse offering of unique and original art, crafts, photography and handmade objects in the park while local musicians and volunteers turn the day into a family-friendly festival of creativity and fun.  

 

“Since the beginning,” says event organizer David Barnes, “the Birkdale Art in the Park has been a grassroots celebration of local art and artisans and the community. Many have described the event as a wonderful showcase of established and emerging artists and a favourite day in the beloved park.”

 

In collaboration with the Midland Park Community Association, Scarborough Arts,  Glen Andrew Community Association, Birkdale Community Center, with the generous support from the Rotary Clubs in Scarborough and the Scarborough Community Renewal Campaign. This family-friendly event offers free public admission and live entertainment.

 

Concessions at cost will also be served.

Birkdale Art in the Park is an annual summer one-day community arts festival held in conjunction with the generous support of local organizations and association. Held in the Birkdale Ravine surrounding the Birkdale Community Centre, the festival supports local art by providing an opportunity for local artists and artisans to exhibit and sell their original works and connect with the community, sharing ideas and fostering dialogue.
